Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been earned on hardcourt
A resurgent the Russian player claimed his first championship for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The Russian, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging year, winning just one win at the big events and experiencing a setback at the American major.
The player's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serve in particular - led to him exiting of the top ten and ultimately splitting with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.
Currently working with his coach and Goetzke, he has consistently improved in the last few weeks - climaxing in a closely contested three-set victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's maiden championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt after that period of that year.
Victory also indicates the Russian has achieved 21 titles at twenty-one various events.
"For the first time I'm at a event with my children simultaneously, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," stated world number 14 Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I got when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had lost his previous six championship matches, featuring in that event previously this season.
His retrieving strategy and regular reactions on the playing surface had prompted observers to doubt if his capacity to perform at the highest level was over.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, making an effort to come to the net and play aggressively, backed up by an enhanced serving game.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the tricky Frenchman, securing four of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
The pair exchanged breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his initial professional victory, gained dominance to push for a final set.
Moutet defended four early break points in a tight final set before the champion won the break to that score to serve for the match.
Appropriately, he secured the title with a shot at the front of the court, with his opponent incapable to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
