The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
